Feb 19, 26th, March 5th
11am-1pm, Fridays
In his three-day online art class, fine art oil painter Mitchell Saler will give a demonstration painting a landscape that includes hills, a lake, a barn, fields, and flowers in oil and discuss his process step by step. You may paint along with the demonstration or just watch, and Mitchell will give feedback to you as your painting takes shape. Beginner to advanced painters are welcome to enjoy this fun and informative class. Composition, value, color theory, atmosphere, technique, perspective and more will be addressed. He will instruct you about seeing the world as a realist artist sees it. Instructional handouts will be distributed. A supply list will be provided, but does not have to be strictly followed. Mitchell will be painting in oil, but you are welcome to work in a different medium such as acrylic, watercolor, or pastel, and he will guide you in the medium you choose and compare it to his approach in oil. You will have the opportunity to have your art critiqued during the class as well as by e-mailing Mitchell.
Mitchell Saler enjoys conveying vastness, dramatic lighting, and atmospheric effects in his works and has received awards in various art exhibits, including at the Salmagundi Club in NYC. He is a member of the Salmagundi Club, the North East Watercolor Society, the Goshen Art
