Leslie Waxtel is an eclectic artist whose work includes plein air and studio painting in a variety of media and techniques. Her work ranges from landscapes of the Hudson Valley to whimsical watercolors, and mixed media pieces. Continuing a lifelong practice, she keeps numerous sketchbooks filled with color studies and impressions of nature and places. In addition to her larger works, she makes tiny paintings which are included in international miniature fine art exhibits around the country.
Her work has been exhibited in several solo shows, and many group shows in the Hudson Valley and beyond and has won numerous awards. A graduate of SUNY New Paltz and the Fashion Institute of Technology, she is a signature member of the Northeast Watercolor Society and Cider Painters of America.
