Lana Matich Privitera
Originally from Spain, Lana Privitera graduated in 1983 from the Fine Arts School of Zaragoza, where she majored in Fashion Design and Art History. After working in Advertising for a few years, she moved to the USA in the early 1990s.
In the late 1990s, her detailed and colorful watercolors of NJ farms and towns won her many awards at Regional and State level and some of her pieces were also accepted in Juried National Art Shows. During those years she performed frequently as Art Judge and Critic, as well as workshop Teacher and watercolor Demonstrator for some local art groups.
Mrs. Privitera has just returned to the Art World after a long hiatus and has joined several of the Art Associations in the Hudson Valley Area. She’s also the current Art Curator for the Pine Bush Public Library and a Signature Member of both the New Jersey Watercolor Society and the North East Watercolor Society.
Mrs. Privitera joined the WRS in January 2015.
